Gambling rules: Ride
Draft of 29 September 2026 · Operator: [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME] · Licence: pending
1. Tables and entries
- Ride is a player-vs-player game. There is no house bankroll: every pot comes from the players at the table.
- There are three tables with a fixed entry in USDC: $1, $5 and $25. Everyone at a table pays the same entry.
- One entry per wallet per round. A round takes 3 to 50 players.
- The join window lasts 50 Solana slots (about 20 seconds) and starts with the first entry. If fewer than 3 players have joined when it ends, the round is refunded in full with no cut.
2. The ride
- The ride starts when the join window ends. Each step lasts 5 slots (about 2 seconds). At step k the multiplier is x(k) = 100^(k/60), from 1.00× (k = 0) to 100× (k = 60), rounded down to hundredths as in the published table.
- Manual cash-out: the program records the step your transaction lands in. Your exit is the multiplier of that step.
- Auto cash-out: set when you join, from 1.01× to 100×. You exit at the first step whose multiplier reaches your target, unless you cashed out by hand earlier.
- The ride ends at step 60, or as soon as every player is out.
3. The crash
- Only after the ride can anyone request randomness from ORAO VRF. The seed is derived from the round and the first slot hash after the ride, so it cannot exist earlier.
- crash = min(1 / (1 − r), 100×), rounded down to hundredths, where r is the first 8 bytes of the randomness read as a little-endian integer and divided by 2^64. The probability that the crash reaches x is exactly 1/x: the odds carry no house edge.
- An exit survives only if it is strictly below the crash. An exit exactly at the crash loses, and so does a player with no exit.
4. The pot and the cut
- At the reveal, a 5% cut is taken from the round's entries: 2.5% to the Gaze pool, which pays creators, and 2.5% to the operator. The other 95% is the pot.
- Each survivor receives pot × their exit ÷ the sum of all survivors' exits, rounded down to the smallest USDC unit.
- The rounding remainder, and the whole pot when nobody survives, goes to the weekly jackpot.
- Shares, refunds and jackpot prizes are credited to your claimable balance in the program. You withdraw them with a claim at any time.
5. Weekly jackpot
- Each $1 entered in a round that settles earns 1 ticket for that week. Refunded rounds earn no tickets.
- After the week ends (plus a 2-hour grace period), ticket ranges are assigned in join order and ORAO VRF draws one ticket: the winning ticket is the first 16 bytes of the randomness, read as a little-endian integer, modulo the total number of tickets.
- The holder of the winning ticket receives the whole jackpot. If nobody played a settled round that week, the jackpot rolls over.
6. Limits: Tilt and self-lock
- Tilt rises when you join again right after a loss or move to a bigger table after one, and fades with time.
- At medium Tilt the $25 table is locked. At high Tilt only the $1 table is open, and joins pause for 3 rounds of the $1 table first.
- A self-lock of 1, 7 or 30 days blocks every join from the wallet and cannot be shortened.
- Heat and Tilt never change the odds or the shares.
7. Refunds and faults
- If randomness is not fulfilled within 30 minutes (4,500 slots), the round is refunded in full with no cut.
- A round whose randomness was fulfilled cannot be refunded: it can only be settled.
- New rounds can be paused by the guardian role. Pausing never cancels a round already in progress.
8. Verification
Every round and every weekly draw can be checked on the fairness page. The on-chain record is final.
